LURK Perfume Oils

NatFragrance_LURK

I met Anne Sanford, the creator of Lurk perfume oils, at the A Night for Green Beauty event a couple of weeks ago in NYC.  Her perfume oils contain no synthetics, chemical stabilizers or additives, alcohol or water.  Instead, her trained nose guides her to mix a carefully selected variety of essential oils into a jojoba oil base.  The result is a beautiful collection of classic, sophisticated fragrances to be worn by anyone and everyone.  I really love the androgynous packaging and almost formulaic names of these perfumes.  It is a refreshing change of pace from the oversexed, airbrushed, in-your-face marketing machine we are accustomed to when it comes to the fragrance industry.  I have sampled  all the fragrances listed below and I have decided I love BS003.  It just makes me happy – isn’t that what fragrance is really supposed to do?  Cost: about $55 for 1/8 oz.  Purchase them here.

RSW005: Warm sandalwood and earthy rose produce this androgenous scent. Smooth with a crisp citrus finish. An essential scent to slake even the most parched perfume palette.

PRJV1:Expansive layers of jasmine and rose intertwine with fresh petitgrain. Raw, unrefined, possibly debaucherous, definitely pleasing.

AS01: Notes of cedarwood, tuberose and sweet rose come together with a hint of spice to produce this slightly viscous yet subtle scent.

BS003:Dry woods mix with crisp citrus notes and sweet bergamot to produce this effervescent yet balanced fragrance.

TBPV1:Sultry florals blend seamlessly into a base of resinous black pepper. An antidote for the fragrance jaded.
