Happy Hump Day, Bare Beauties!  Lately, I’ve been trying to sloooow down.  Life has not allowed for much pampering lately, not even for my beloved weekly infrared sauna sesh‘ .  However, for the last two weeks, I made it my goal to get myself in a hot bath at least once a week, for just 20 minutes.  It doesn’t sound like 20 minutes could undo a week’s (or even a day’s!) worth of stress, but let me tell you, this has been a good reminder for me that there isn’t much a hot bath can’t fix.

I’ve taken both of my recent baths with Verité Spa Organics Cypress & Mint Detox Bath Salts,  and immediately followed with Verité May Chang & Geranium Body Butter.  It was definitely the most luxurious 30 minutes I’ve had in a long time.  And, I slept sooooo well both nights.  Why don’t I do this for myself more often???

The Verité Detox Bath Salts contains montmorillonite (bentonite clay), essential oils and Himalayan salt crystals.  Montmorillonite is known for absorbing heavy metals, and salt’s negative ions neutralize the positive ions that are emitted (and absorbed by the body) by electronics, like cell phones, computers, and tablets.  And, the barely-there fragrance is so light and lovely; it’s a perfectly therapeutic detox bath.  Cost: $45

Let’s talk about this body butter.  B-U-T-T-A-H.  I have never, ever, ever come across a body butter this  incredible.  This stuff is the exact texture of buttercream icing and I kind of wanted to eat it.  However, even though it was heavy and thick, a little went a long way, it was absorbed immediately and it left my skin so soft, even through the next day.  Cost: $65

All of Verité’s products are handmade in small batches in New Zealand and housed in dark violet miron glass, to ensure plant essences are preserved for longer.  The beautiful jars can be reused (once sterilized) to store and preserve herbs, oils and vitamins.  This duo would make the perfect gift for anyone that needs a little TLC, (this includes you).

Remember to take care of yourself, be kind to yourself.  It’s not selfish – everyone who needs you benefits.
