Last Wednesday, I went to A Night for Green Beauty at James Corbett Studio in NYC. The Fashion Week event was hosted by La Bella Figura and sponsored by The Chalkboard Mag. Pressed Juicery provided some very yummy fresh juices. It was the first collaborative organic beauty pop-up shop in New York and it was a huge success!
Some highlights:
I met Jessica from Shen, a cutting edge, indie, glamorous beauty boutique in Brooklyn. She introduced me to a new line from the UK called de Mamiel, which I fell in love with. I also met e-commerce-queens Garcy Fry of Eco Diva Beauty and Spirit Demerson of Spirit Beauty Lounge. They were both so lovely and gracious, and so pretty!
My fellow lowcountry gals, Suzanne and Ashley, from One Love Organics.
Me and Sasha Plavsik, founder of Ilia Beauty (I’m wearing my new fave color in the lipstick crayon, “call me”).
Anne Sanford of Lurk, my new favorite natural perfumer.
The incredible Katey Denno at work doing Clean makeup consultations.
May Lindstrom, who is even more luminous and beautiful in person, and her daughter, Talia.
Me and the gorgeous Lina Hanson. (I think it is time to stop having my picture taken until after I have my baby!)
A Night for Green Beauty was such a great event; I hope it becomes an annual one. It was so inspiring to be in one room with so many people who dedicate themselves to Clean, Green beauty!
