A Is For Affordable: Acure Organics

I love Clean, luxury skincare, haircare and beauty products (obvi), but there are some things I just don’t love to spend money on.  By the sound of many of your emails and comments, you feel the same way, so I thought I’d share my best cheap secret: Acure Organics.  This company is totally Clean, feels indulgent and it is very affordable.  On top of all that, it is made in the USA and for every Acure Organics bottle sold, Spirit Beauty Lounge is matching Acure Organics’ donation of $1 to Bright Pink for breast cancer education (that’s $2/unit for those of you who haven’t had your coffee yet).

I always say that if you are only going to switch out one product in your bathroom, please let it be body lotion.  As you know, our skin is our largest organ and what we put on it is absorbed into our bloodstream within minutes.  If our lotion is full of toxins, which all conventional body lotions are, our liver and kidneys are burdened with the task of  trying to process them.  Over time, this contributes to many serious but common health woes.  Acure Organics Advanced Triple Moisture System Body Lotion in Mandarin Orange is my absolute favorite body lotion, Clean or otherwise.  This non-greasy lotion sinks right into my skin and the moisture lasts a full 24 hours.  And I love the happy, natural scent – it perks me up without being too strong.  Cost: about $10 for 7 oz.  Purchase it here.

My second-favorite body lotion is the unscented Acure Organics Ultra Hydrating Body Lotion.  It is great for little ones and if I’m in the mood for some fragrance, I just add a little of my own essential oil blend to it before applying.  Cost: about $10 for 7 oz.  Purchase it here.

Ever feel like your expensive body wash is money down the drain, literally?  Acure’s Cell Stimulating Body Wash is the answer.  It lathers nicely and has a subtle sweet-almond smell (very unisex, so be prepared for your man to use it all up).  It is also very moisturizing, thanks to sea buckthorn oil, argan oil and pumpkin seed oil.  Cost: about $10 for 7 oz.  Purchase it here.

For those of you with super-sensitive skin, try Acure’s Unscented Sensitive Skin Body Wash.  It has all the great benefits of their other body washes, but it’s fragrance-free.  Cost: about $10 for 7 oz.  Purchase it here.

There you have it!  Acure Organics also makes great, affordable haircare as well as lots of other skincare products.  If you are transitioning to a Clean lifestyle, this brand is a great place to start experimenting.
