First of all, THANK YOU, my dear, dear readers – some of you are old friends, many of you I’ve never even met – for all your kind, sympathetic, encouraging words the past few weeks. Losing baby weight is HARD. The scale still hasn’t budged, even though I continue to work out hard five days a week as well as breastfeed my baby. WTF? And I’m not exactly sitting around eating crispy kremes, either… I know, it will happen soon………..
On the other hand, Annabel is now 90 days old and I am beginning to catch up – I think. I am finally getting around to paying bills, writing thank you notes, and blogging more regularly (BTW, I have really missed my “work”). It is amazing how there is literally no time for things like these when you have a newborn. I mean, I guess I could have sacrificed some sleep to check these things off my list, but I wonder how crazy – or how much crazier – that would have made me!
Another thing I have been meaning to do is hook up the Fitbit Flex that my sister-in-law gave me for Christmas. I set it up today and I am so excited to get started! The device wirelessly tracks steps taken, calories burned, distance traveled, and sleep. It can sync with other apps like Lose It and My Fitness Pal for even more tracking and analysis. You can also stay motivated by connecting with friends. I know a few of you are experts and I expect tips, people! I want to get the most out of this little wristband!
