Scenes From Nantucket

I know I’m a little behind on this!  Talk about Bare Beauty….  At least fifteen years has passed since I’ve been to Nantucket (we used to rent a house there for a couple of weeks during the summer growing up) and it is just as naturally beautiful and understated as I remember it.

We ate amazing food and spent lots of QT with our great friends George and Sally and our godson, River.  It was a truly relaxing vacation.  A few highlights:

The first night there, Richard and I ate at The Galley on Galley Beach. The sunset and people-watching were priceless.

Our friends, George and Sally, with their son, River.  Cutest family ever.

We rented a boat one afternoon and Richard took us to a deserted beach called Five Fingered Point.  So peaceful!

And on the beach at Siasconset, we met a little friend!  We named her Celia.  She spent about two hours sunbathing 10 feet from us!

Did I mention that Sally is a very talented artist?  Look at these sweet coastal scenes she painted one day on Monomoy Beach!

This was taken on our last night, just before dinner at Straight Wharf.  We ate like kings.  Top 5 meals of all time, seriously.
