I have heard from so many of you in the last few days about the shampoos and conditioners we’ve been reviewing. I am so glad you like them as much as I do! I should add that the longer you use a clean shampoo and conditioner, the better the results, as they will regulate your scalp’s sebum production while truly conditioning the ends. So, if you don’t love something right away, try it two to three more times before you give it the boot. We have just two more for you today and then it is on to styling products and leave-in’s.
INTELLIGENT NUTRIENTS HARMONIC SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER FOR ALL HAIR TYPES
Intelligent Nutrients was founded by Horst Rechelbacher, who originally founded Aveda in 1978. After selling Aveda to Estee Lauder in 1997 (right around the time nasty chemicals started to sneak into the company’s formulas), Rechelbacher started this new toxin-free venture. The products in this line are organic and so clean you can eat them. There are no sulfates, petrochemicals, phthalates, parabens, silicones, plastics, or other toxic chemicals in these concoctions. I have tested the shampoo and conditioner myself. I liked them, but did not love them for my hair type (fine, oily). However, I knew they would be perfect for my friend, Katie, who has a beautiful lion’s mane of thick, long, wavy hair. This is what Katie had to say: “I’d describe my hair as thick and naturally wavy, but, like my skin, sort of a combination: an oily scalp and ends that tend to get dry despite regular trims. I need a product that moisturizes well without weighing my hair down, as I like to go two days without washing. LOVE the Harmonic line! I used twice the quarter sized amount for the shampoo because of my length, and liked the lather (though don’t expect it to be very sudsy like regular shampoo). It even tasted yummy! The conditioner doesn’t seem to coat the hair very much like “normal” conditioner, but that didn’t keep it from working really well. Just when I thought I needed something heavier, it left my ends feeling wonderfully moisturized. After a light blow dry, my hair feels light, healthy, and silky. I’ll definitely use again!” Cost: about $22 each for 15oz. Purchase them here.
AMAZON BEAUTY RAHUA SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER
FOR ALL HAIR TYPES
Rahua oil fortifies weak, damaged hair while nourishing the scalp. It leaves hair bouncy, shiny and strong. It is also ideal for color-treated hair. I reviewed the Rahua’s volumizing shampoo and conditioner a few days ago ( I LOVE them). I was sure the original formula was just as amazing, but I knew I probably wasn’t the ideal candidate for it. Enter my friend, Annie, who has thicker, more “normal” hair than I have, and plenty of beautiful natural volume. “I love this shampoo and conditioner. I was hesitant to use the conditioner as my hair can get greasy, but I followed the Rahua directions: I put it all over my hair, roots to ends, and left it in for three minutes. It worked great! The duo really cleaned well and left my hair feeling weightless, shiny, and smooth all day with no oily residue or end-of-day-grease! So excited! And it smells so good!” Sounds like another winner! Cost: about $32 each for 9.3 oz. Purchase both here.
I hope you have a great day! Tomorrow we’re on to styling products and leave-in’s!
