March Beauty Heroes: Innsersense Haircare

Innersense Review - Beauty Heroes March Box, on barebeauty.com

I’m a little behind on reviewing this month’s Beauty Heroes box, (I’ve been busy with a cute boy 😉 ) so be warned: you can only purchase it through today, March 20th at the special Beauty Heroes membership price!  To be honest, I didn’t think that this month’s box would be “for me”; boy, was I wrong.  I’ve tried the Innersense line before, and they truly make some of the best clean haircare products out there (past review here), but whenever I read the word hydrating on a haircare product, I personally think of greasy, roots, limp hair, no body, no volume.  Again, I was SO wrong, like, I’ve never been more wrong about a product, ever.

So, as you can probably tell, I LOVE the March Beauty Heroes Box.  Innersense has unveiled a new look (the packaging is beautiful and the sizes are very generous), and two new products that are exclusively available at Beauty Heroes at the moment: Hydrating Cream Hairbath (shampoo), and Hydrating Cream Conditioner.  Again, when I heard the words
hydrating cream hairbath and conditioner, I predicted I would look like I fried a chicken in my hair…  WRONG.  You guys, picture your best hair day, ever.  Volume at the roots, hydrated ends, and smooth, super-shiny strands that smell beautifully.  I am not exaggerating.  I am totally obsessed, and I’m so excited that I finally found hydrating haircare products that actually lather and give me guaranteed-good-hair.  Also included is a product that I was already familiar with and love: Sweet Spirit Leave In Conditioner.  This is the best Clean leave-in conditioner I’ve tried.  I use it on Annabel, too, (little girls and their tangles…) and she loves it.  It moisturizes and detangles hair extremely well, but some added honey creates body and hold.  It’s also great for reviving a day-old hairstyle or taming flyaways and static; just spray a little on your palms, rub together, and run hands through hair for an instant refresh.  And, it smells so, so good.  I personally like to alternate between using the regular conditioner and the leave in conditioner; I don’t feel the need to use both on my super-fine hair.

This month’s Sidekick is Innersense’s Harmonic Healing oil;  it’s a multi-purpose product that can be applied onto the hair and scalp as a hair oil to treat dry hair and soothe dry scalp before washing or warmed on the hands and fingered through hair to tame frizz and add shine.  It can also be used to treat dry skin patches on the body or for men as a beard oil.  I like using the oil as a deep conditioner; I work it through my hair from roots to ends when it is dirty and then hop in the shower.  I rinse thoroughly with warm water and wash and style as usual.
